PPCS helps accounting firms strengthen cyber security, govern AI use responsibly, and align with recognised standards in a way that is practical, proportionate, and commercially grounded.
We work nationally across the UK, supporting firms that want credible advice, clear direction, and delivery that makes sense in the real world — not just on paper.
We combine practical cyber assurance with emerging AI governance support for firms that need to move confidently, defensibly, and without unnecessary complexity.
PPCS exists to help firms deal with the real risks created by modern systems, cloud platforms, data handling, and accelerating AI adoption. Our work is designed to be usable by firms in practice: clear enough to implement, strong enough to defend, and proportionate enough to keep moving.
That means we focus on the standards and frameworks that matter most to firms today, while helping clients create an approach that is workable internally and credible externally.
AIGAS™ is the governance standard. PPCS is the delivery arm that helps firms understand it, implement it, and work toward practical adoption alongside cyber and information security requirements.
The distinction is intentional: AIGAS sets the standard and direction, while PPCS helps firms apply it in practice through delivery, readiness, implementation, and support.
The standard
The delivery arm
PPCS brings together commercial experience, technical capability, cyber assurance, and practical implementation support. The team below reflects both the delivery strength of PPCS and the governance thinking shaping AIGAS™.
Salmaan has over 25 years of experience in accounting software and technology, with a background spanning cloud platforms, enterprise systems, and practice software.
Through PPCS, he focuses on helping accounting firms govern the risks introduced by AI, cloud systems, and modern workflows — with a strong emphasis on practical implementation and defensible governance.
Nicolai brings a rare mix of strategy, product thinking, commercial discipline, and hands-on AI systems expertise. His background spans AI, fintech, sports tech, software, founding, and scaling.
At PPCS, he helps bridge technology, execution, and practical adoption — ensuring that what gets designed is aligned to real business problems, real delivery constraints, and real growth.
Our ISO 27001 audit capability strengthens the governance side of PPCS, helping firms understand what good information security management looks like in practice, and how to evidence it properly.
This role supports work around ISMS structure, controls, risk treatment, documentation, and audit-readiness — bringing independent assurance discipline into the wider PPCS offering.
We’re pleased to welcome Zeeshan Masood to PPCS as a Trainee Cyber Consultant. Zeeshan joins us with a Master’s in Computer and Information Security, an (ISC)² Certified in Cyber Security (CC) certification, and hands-on experience across enterprise support, cloud technologies, and information security.
He will be supporting our work across Cyber Essentials, AI governance, and the rollout of the AIGAS™ standard for UK accounting firms. As AI adoption accelerates across the profession, bringing in talent like Zeeshan is key to helping firms implement practical, defensible governance.
Our Cyber Essentials consultants help firms get the basics right: secure configuration, access control, endpoint hygiene, policy alignment, and the practical steps needed to move from uncertainty to readiness.
The focus is not just passing a questionnaire. It is helping firms put sensible controls in place so certification reflects real operational improvement.
Our wider Cyber Essentials capability gives PPCS the delivery depth to support firms through rollout, evidence gathering, policy application, user guidance, and ongoing improvement as environments change.
This allows us to provide support that is responsive, commercially sensible, and aligned to how accounting firms actually operate day to day.
We focus on the areas that are most relevant to modern accounting firms: cyber basics, information security management, AI governance, and practical assurance around how technology is being used in the real world.
Practical AI governance designed specifically for UK accounting firms — helping create visibility, control, and defensible governance as adoption grows.
Support around information security governance, control maturity, risk treatment, and audit-readiness for firms that need more structured security management.
Guidance around AI management systems and the governance structures firms increasingly need as AI becomes embedded in software, workflows, and client-facing work.
Baseline cyber certification support delivered with practical remediation and preparation, helping firms improve security while working toward certification with confidence.
From formation through to the launch of the standard, board development, the AI tools register, the platform, and the next-stage foundation model — this is the journey so far.
PPCS was established to support accounting firms with practical cyber security, governance, and technology-focused assurance.
The first version of the AIGAS™ standard was created to provide a practical AI governance framework designed specifically for UK accounting firms.
Independent board appointments were made to strengthen the direction, credibility, and practical relevance of AIGAS™ as adoption began to grow.
The register was launched to help firms start documenting AI usage in a practical way, creating visibility and a clearer starting point for governance.
The first advisory board meeting marked the beginning of formal board-led input into the evolution of the AIGAS™ standard and its broader direction.
The first platform release created a more structured way to support firms in applying governance, documenting progress, and moving from principle into implementation.
A new not-for-profit foundation is formed for AIGAS™ — helping support the long-term development, credibility, and stewardship of the standard.
The AIGAS Advisory Board brings together expertise across accounting, tax technology, AI governance, risk, and implementation. The members below are listed separately from PPCS leadership.
Brings deep experience from within the accounting profession and helps ensure AIGAS remains grounded in how firms really operate day to day.
Brings valuable perspective on how AI is being used to interpret, apply, and operationalise complex tax and regulatory frameworks.
Adds enterprise-level governance, risk, and large-scale systems experience, helping keep the framework aligned to recognised governance principles.
Contributes strategic, operational risk, cyber security, and governance experience, supporting the defensibility and credibility of AIGAS as it evolves.
Brings broad change, systems, automation, and implementation experience, helping connect governance thinking with real operational delivery.
We are not trying to make cyber security or AI governance more complicated than it needs to be. Our role is to help firms move forward with clarity, strengthen what matters, and put sensible structure around risk.
Our approach is shaped by how firms actually operate — balancing governance, delivery effort, operational pressure, and what clients increasingly expect to see.
Good governance should be strong enough to stand up to scrutiny, but practical enough to be adopted and maintained by the firm using it.
PPCS is built around the needs of accounting firms, where confidentiality, reliance, client trust, and operational discipline matter just as much as technical controls.
Whether you are looking at Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, or practical AI governance through AIGAS™, PPCS can help you build a route that is sensible, credible, and workable.
